Beijing Things To Do |
Things To Do : Shichahai has rich historical legacies in a number of well preserved Hutongs, Quadrangle Dwellings, mansions and gardens; it has dense cultural heritage in temples, halls, and distinguished persons’ former residences. These are harmoniously blended with natural scenery by distinctive folk customs. In recent years, bars, and homely restaurants and hotels in Quadrangle Dwellings have sprouted in its neighborhood, making this place more fashionable. The coexistence of tradition and fashion attracts about five million tourists from home and abroad each year. In 2005, it was listed by Chinese National Geography as among the five best city blocks in China for ‘being fashionable next door to Zhongnanhai’.
Things To Do: Happy Valley is the capital's answer to Disneyland. Divided into six themed regions (Wild Fjord, A Greek Village-Atlantis, Aegean Harbor, a Mayan temple, the Tibetan Shangri-La and an Ant Kingdom), Happy Valley's 120 attractions aren't just a series of daredevil rides, although there are these available for the eager thrill seeker. Beijing's newest amusement park also offers exhibits, sculptures, performances and an IMAX theatre. The biggest complaint is queuing times – at 3pm on a Sunday, there’s an hour-long queue for ‘Crystal Wing’, so it’s a good idea to get there early.
Things To Do: Located 20 kilometers to the north of Beijing, Wendu Water City enjoys a favorable geographical position and convenient traffic location. To the north, it leans upon the source of the Mother River of Beijing, Wenyu River, and two miles to the south are the two largest communities in Beijing-Huilongguan and Tiantongyuan Residential Estates. As the former site of Pingxi Prince’s Palace during Yongzheng Period in Qing Dynasty (1723-1735), Wendu Water City contains profound historical and cultural contents, as well as being rich in geological resources. At present, five hot spring wells with depths of over 3000 meters and a temperature of 79 C have been developed, the daily water yield of these wells has exceeded 10,000 m^3, and the water is abundant in a variety of minerals.
Wendu Water City Project was designed by Australia SDG Design Group. With advanced concepts, masterly design and full-fledged functions, it is an ecological community with integrated sightseeing, business meetings and large-scale entertainment services.
