How to Successfully Book China Train Tickets

China train tickets can be hard to book. China has a large travelling population and many people travel by train at the same time, especially around major holidays such as Spring Festival. CTT helps travellers understand how to improve the chance of successfully booking tickets.

First of all, pay attention to the CHINA TRAIN TICKETS ISSUING DATE. This is the most important thing because China train tickets cannot be purchased months in advance. They can only be bought after the railway authority opens sales for that route.

The issuing date changes by city and season. Beijing may open around 12 days before departure, Xian may be around 10 days, and peak holiday periods can be shorter. If you want CTT to successfully book your tickets, please make your reservation before the issuing date and provide the required passport copies.

If you miss the issuing date, there may be no tickets left even shortly after sales open. We call these late bookings. For late bookings, CTT may need to try other ways to purchase tickets, but the result is usually not as good as early bookings.

So the first thing is to MAKE RESERVATIONS BEFORE CHINA TRAIN TICKETS ISSUING DATE.

Secondly, you must fully pay for your booking to settle it. CTT currently accepts online payment according to the payment instructions shown during booking.

Thirdly, please fill in the reservation form carefully and provide all passengers' passport information before the issuing date.

Finally, when your tickets are delivered to a hotel or address, please ask the hotel front desk or concierge for your express delivery mail or envelope. The tickets may be inside the delivery envelope rather than handed over separately.

If you pay attention to the above points, it is much easier to book China train tickets with CTT.
