TOUR ITINERARY:

Destination: Chengdu, China
Activities: A full day tour where you will visit the Marquis Wu Shrine, Jinli Culture Street, the thatched cottage of Du Fu, Wenshu Monastery and Wangjiang Park.
Meals: Chinese Lunch
Duration of tour: 8 hours (09:00 AM- 17:00 PM)
Includes: Transportation by private vehicle, guided visits of the Marquis Wu Shrine, Jinli Culture Street, the thatched cottage of Du Fu, Wenshu Monastery and Wangjiang Park. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

 

The Tour: During this private full day tour, you will first visit the Temple of Marquis Wu, a shrine dedicated to the memory of Zhuge Liang, the premier of Shu kingdom during Chinese Three Kingdom period. Following on, you will visit Jinli Street, which is an example of West Sichuan custom. After lunch, you will continue with a visit to the cottage where the great poet of the Tang Dynasty, Du Fu, lived. Its then onto Wenshu Monastery, he best-preserved Buddhist temple in Chengdu. Finally you will visit Wangjiang Park where you can view the Jin River from the pavilion which stands on the south bank of the river, east of the city. It is now a public park where, besides the ancient buildings and a famous well known as the 'Xue Tao', there are more than 100 species of bamboo. It is a perfect place for visitors to enjoy the beauty of both Chinese ancient architecture and the tea culture.
