Destination: Dunhuang, China
Activities: Take the exploration to the Yumen Pass, Great Wall of Han Dynasty, Yangguan Pass and date back the silk road ancient time.
Meals: Chinese Lunch
Duration of tour: 9 hours (09:00 AM- 18:00 PM)
Includes: Transportation by private car/coach, visit to the Yumen Pass, Great Wall of Han Dynasty and Yangguan Pass with English speaking guide. Lunch at a local restaurant.
The tour : Yumen Pass - It is located about 90 kilometers from northwest of Dunhuang. It is said that the jade of Hetian in the Western Regions was brought into the Central Plains through this pass; hence it is called Yumen Pass (Jade Pass). In the Han Dynasty, the pass was the military strategic pass and significant passage of the ancient Silk Road.
Yangguan Pass - It is situated in the Antique Beach in the southwest of Dunhuang. Because it lies in the south of the Yumen Pass, it is named Yangguan Pass. Originally built during the reign of Emperor Han Wudi, it is the door open to the western regions as well as the important pass of the Silk Road. (Service End)
